Alpine flowers and alpine flower walks
Alpine flowers are widely known and regarded as unique and the lush meadows of the Austrian alps contain a flourishing diversity of wildflowers and species. Flower walks explore the rich botanical genera of Alpine flowers in walking environments at different altitudes.
Flower walking events for June 2008:
- Orchid & Alpine Flower week 19th June 2008 with walks and talks with one of our favourite visitors Chris Langley, who will bring alive this fascinating subject.
- Regular Orchid walks from nearby Lermoos.
- Flower walks in the Rinnen valley with a myriad of pasture and Alpine flowers. (Here you will find over 1200 species in one of the most diverse selection of plants in the Western Alps.)
- Feuerberg - 21st June 2008 - the fire mountain spectacular with over 800 fires making dazzling displays over our Chalet in Ehrwald.
